Sustainability at Amazing Lombok Resort is not a marketing label. It is a set of practical decisions built into how the resort operates, from how electricity is generated to what goes into the pool.
To be recognised as a green resort, the environment is not enough. These are our efforts as an ecological hotel in Indonesia.
The resort runs on solar panels. Electricity consumption is powered by renewable energy rather than the standard Indonesian grid, which relies heavily on fossil fuels.
The swimming pool is filled with natural saltwater and contains no chlorine or chemical treatments. This removes the need for regular chemical inputs and is gentler on the surrounding environment, as well as your skin.
The resort has its own well with a filtration system that produces clean water. The filters are changed regularly and the water is tested to maintain quality. And to reduce single-use bottle consumption, there is a water dispenser to refill your tumblers during your stay.
All waste at the resort is sorted and managed ecologically. This includes both general waste and organic matter from the kitchen and garden.
The shampoo and shower gel provided in your luxury bungalow are environmentally friendly. No single-use plastic miniatures, the products are chosen for their lower environmental impact.
The resort maintains a small herb garden, used by the kitchen for fresh ingredients. It reduces reliance on packaged produce and keeps the food as local and fresh as possible.
